The annual summer conference of the Colorado ACDA is presented, featuring nationally recognized clinicians leading sessions on a variety of topics. Also included are reading sessions. The conference closes with a concert lead by one of these clinicians.

Dr. Elliot Engle – The Rise and Fall of F. Scott Fitzgerald

As usual, Elliot includes fabulous anecdotes and large doses of humor as he reveals how Fitzgerald’s turbulent life and brilliant novels perfectly captured the sensation and sadness of the Jazz Age of the 20’s.

Anne Robichaud– A Beautiful View of Umbria

Anne is a highly regarded tour guide, Italian cook extraordinaire, and lecturer on

the joys of Umbria. She has resided near Assisi for 35 yrs, lectured and created tours for The National Trust the Smithsonian, Elder Hostel and teaches Italian cooking in her home and yours. As an official Umbrian tour guide, (only 18 of 350 have ever passed the exam) Anne will bring great wisdom, wit and information as she teaches the rich culture and history of the region. There will also be a great opportunity to attend one of her cooking classes while she is in Denver.

player, Mr. Edsel was founder/owner of Gemini Exploration. He later sold the company, moved to Florence,
and restored a villa. While there, he immersed himself in art history and began
a new passion-quest for finding missing Nazi stolen art during WWII. The details
of what occurred are a little known part of history. Hear the fascinating story
of how much of it has

been found, how much is
still out there, Hitler’s secret art journals, Eisenhower’s role and the role
of the Third Reich in a gripping tale of intrigue, bravery and love of culture.

Dr. Kogan is coming to Denver for a private medical presentation and has agreed to include a repeat visit to Town Hall. How lucky are we? A very few of you attended his evening benefit performance in April and you cannot hear it enough as Dr. Kogan will present his spectacular lecture/ concert on George Gershwin. Be prepared for an emotional and beautiful experience as Richard relates an

extremely painful childhood, scrapes with the law, maturation into a gifted musician, fiery romances and a life tragically cut short, as he treats us to the complete “Rhapsody in Blue” as well as Porgy and Bess” and other musical vignettes.

Kate Cherney Tweedy – Secretariat’s Meadow

Al Staggs – as Martin Luther

What do I have to do to remain vital? Can I stay in the game? A star on The

Guiding Light for 26 years, Tina has led a life that has required great strength and wisdom every time her life took a different direction and she had to “change shoes”. We have all experienced times in our lives where we weren’t certain what the next step would be or what shoes we would be in. Tina is a graduate of The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. She has appeared in dinner theatre, off-Broadway, in movies, and most recently, in Black Swan with Academy Award winner Natalie Portman.
