In recognition of National Black History Month, Festival Director, Forrest Guittar, offers a visual art exhibit focusing on the stories behind a number of African – American spirituals.

Combined with the visual art exhibit, Festival Director, Forrest Guittar, explores the writings of James Weldon Johnson’s black sermons from his GOD’S TROMBONES, combining them with meditations on African-American Spirituals, and insights gained from his experience with such composers as Jester Hairston, Moses Hogan and many others. Tapestry artist, Jo Whitney, has spent many years and created countless “wraps of art,” which she has given to those in need of a gentle touch of love. In a unique display, see though her eyes in the creation of the quilts, given as “wraps of love.” Southeast Entrance Lobby.

Photographer Evan Meyer has traveled the world. In an exceptional display, follow his footsteps and see the wonders of the world.

This exhibit includes images presented in various formats and opportunities to purchase these magnificent works, supporting the youth of Bethany.
