BCOC brings its own fiery interpretation to a perennial Baroque favorite, with leader-concertmaster Cynthia Miller Freivogel as soloist for Vivaldi’s colorful depiction of the seasons. Our season-finale program also includes Telemann’s Sinfonia spirituosa and Capriccio Stravaganze by Farina!

The acclaimed Novello Quartet joins BCOC for our first Classical-era program, featuring three of Mozart’s Epistle Sonatas for organ and strings and the serenade Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, plus chamber music of Haydn.

Violinist Tekla Cunningham leads the ensemble in a panorama of Venetian gems from the 17th and 18th centuries, including excerpts from Vivaldi’s La Stravaganza and Monteverdi’s Scherzi musicali, plus music of Albinoni, Rosenmuller  and Marini. With guest artists MeeAe Nam (soprano), David Farwig (baritone), and William Simms (theorbo).
